Seamless Bloch ballet pointe shoes – harder shank
Seamless ballet pointe shoes by Bloch are handmade from high-quality, durable and flexible material that adapts to the foot like a sock. They have a U-shaped box, a lower profile and a wide platform that provides stable support when dancing en pointe and allows a smooth transition from demi-pointe to pointe.
This model has a harder shank than the standard version, which is one of the softer types of pointe shoes. It is suitable for intermediate and advanced ballerinas who have already mastered the basic technique of dancing en pointe. Its shape is especially suited to feet with a square toe shape.
The inside of the pointe shoe is lined with cotton fabric. A soft elastic leather panel is sewn into the heel area to help keep the pointe shoe on the foot. The higher heel cut, together with the elastic binding and sewn-in round elastic, allows the shoe to fit snugly around the foot and be adjusted individually.
The shank is full-length on the inside and split on the outside. A canvas layer is used where the ribbons are to be sewn on, making sewing easier and helping prevent the needle from slipping. Ribbons are sold separately.
Fitting note: The pointe shoes are better suited to dancers who prefer softer support, especially those with shorter toes and a lower instep. When choosing pointe shoes, we recommend taking into account the shape of the foot, the height of the instep, foot strength and level of dance technique.
